Our First Book Reviews!

These reviews come from Beryl Goldsweig.  Thank you, Beryl, for bravely venturing out first!

I’d recommend The Diamond Eye, by Kate Quinn (well-written, exciting novel about a female Russian sniper during the early days of World War II before the U.S. entered the war, based on a true story); The Women, by Kristin Hannah (during the Viet Nam War, women nurses weren’t recognized as participants and often heroes, yet they saved many lives and returned to a U.S. that didn’t welcome them) and  Lightning Strike, by William Kent Krueger (a prequel to Krueger’s Cork O’Connor books about a sheriff in a small town near the Minnesota Boundary Waters and his interactions with the nearby Ojibwe Reservation).
