Author Talk: Doug Wilhelm of Middlebury will be here to talk about his latest book, Kind of a Miracle — The Unlikely Story of the Community College of Vermont. “Half a century ago, a few Vermonters reinvented what a college could be. Their story matters now more than ever. In 1970s Vermont, a new kind of college-without-a-campus gave low-income adults up and down the state the chance to change their lives. Today, the inspiring success of the Community College of Vermont just might point the way toward the future of American higher education.”

Woof! What’s the Dog Saying? Deb Helfrich, Gold Star Dog Training
Is a yawn always just a yawn? Why does a dog shake off when it’s not wet? Why is a growl a good thing? Is a tail wag always friendly?
This popular dog communication and safety lecture is a multi-media extravaganza of fun where
the audience gets to test their “dog reading” skills. We’ll demystify dog communication, reveal common dog-human misunderstandings, and explore how we can all live safely and happily together.
*Please note: the presenter requests that no dogs attend the talk.
Saturday, March 15, 11 am, open to everyone 12 and older.
Look for info coming about special activities during school’s February break, as well as our annual seed giveaway!
