PI DAY! PIE DAY!

March 14 is, of course, PI DAY!!

Pi is the Greek letter π.  Mathematicians use this to stand for  the ratio of the circumference (distance around) of any circle to the diameter (distance across) of that circle. Regardless of the circle’s size, this ratio will always equal pi. In decimal form, the value of pi is approximately 3.14 (get why Saturday is PI DAY?).   Pi is an irrational number, which means it never NEVER ends and it NEVER repeats a sequence.  EVER.  As far as we can tell.

Bring a PIE, eat some PIE,  play some PI games, learn about PI and PIE! We can even sing a PI song.  It’s very long.  It has a LOT of numbers.

I will bring some pies to share; maybe you could bring one as well! It would be very cool to have some live pie-making happening, too–let me
know if you’d like to do that!  I will supply whatever you need.

PI DAY! LONG LIVE PI!
