One more week of chemistry fun for kids! We still have lots to explore when it comes to matter and how it can change. We’ll be making some more playdough, and we’ll see what happens when you add energy to wool, water, and soap! And we’ll find out what happens when energy is added to dry spaghetti and water. Any ideas? Come to the library this week, or Stories in the Park on Friday, where you can find the answers!
Parents, if you can, bring a container of cooked and cooled spaghetti in water to the park on Friday.
Stories in the Park meets on Fridays, 3:30-4:30, at the bandstand, during the Farmers’ Market.
The Dumbledorks meet again on Thursday, the 26th, at 4:30. We’ll do some reading of HP #1 or #2, do some magical invisible writing, and paint some super-adorable Harry Potter characters.
At 5:30, everyone is invited to a screening of a famous movie about a young wizard, Part 2!
It’s time for another Adult Summer Reading Challenge with Prizes! Stop in anytime during regular library hours and find out how it all works. Basically, you read, attend a library program, or something else fun and library-related, you enter a raffle, and you may win a prize! What a sweet way to spend some time this summer and support your library!
Regular programming is ongoing with Purls of Wisdom and the wondrous Hilde, our knitting and handcrafts group, continuing the meet each Tuesday at 1:30. All ages and abilities; lessons if you want them! Join the fabulous Amy B for our Writers’ Workshop at 1 pm on June 28. And on Thursdays, come enjoy Family Storytime at 3:30 in the kids’ room.
