Coming up at the library

It is definitely NOT too late to join our Adult Summer Reading Challenge with Prizes!  Stop in anytime during regular library hours and find out how it all works.  Basically, you read, attend a library program, or something else fun and library-related, you enter a raffle, and you may win a prize!  What a sweet way to spend some time this summer and support your library!

We are wrapping up Dinosaur Month with a final week of fun dino activities!  In the children’s room you can find our awesome collection of dino books, as well as dino projects to explore and enjoy.  At Stories in the Park on Friday, we’ll make some exploding volcanoes for our dinos to enjoy (don’t worry: no dinos will be harmed), as well as a maze for our clever dinos to figure out, and how about some dino potions? There will be plenty of ways to get wet as well!  July 25 at 3:30, during Rochester’s fabulous Farmers’ Market.

Regular programming continues in July with Hilde & The Purls on Tuesdays at 1:30, our very awesome and very welcoming knitting and handcraft group,  Family Storytime on Thursdays at 3:30, and the Dumbledorks on the 24th at 4:30, followed by a screening of a popular and famous wizard movie!

If you are feeling the need for a day trip, Rochester Library offers to its patrons Vermont State Park and Historic Site passes, as well as passes to plenty of other fun and interesting spots around the state: ECHO, American Precision Museum, The Fairbanks Museum & Planetarium, Shelburne Museum, and more!  Stop in to learn more.

Please note that there will be no programs July 28 – August 2.  Library will be open as usual for borrowing the things and the books.

As always, free snacks are available whenever the library is open: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11-6, and Saturdays, 9-12.

Thank you so much for supporting the library–it makes all the difference!

Can’t wait to see you here!
