Coming up in February, we’ll have an author talk with the magical and very-knowlegeable Jane English of Calais. My family has a long association with Jane, stretching back to my children’s days at EarthWalk, where Jane was an elder, guiding children in outdoor adventures, skills, stories, and song. She has published a new book, White Pines: A Woman’s Lifelong Friendship with These Trees. Jane’s book is filled with her breath-taking photography of, and many stories and much information about, these beautiful trees. Jane invites all audience members to share their own stories about the white pines. You can check out the library’s copy of the book now!
