Local Author Mary Anderson to Speak

Local author Mary Anderson will be at Rochester Public Library to talk about her impressive list of adventures and the resulting book.  Her activities of late include:

 *first woman to thru-hike the Appalachian Trail in winter

*first person to complete two of the triple crown trails in one year

*solo hiked the Continental Divide Trail, earning her triple crown

*thru-hiked the Long Trail

*biked to all 251 cities and towns in VT in one month

*skied the entire Catamount Trail in one winter

*paddled the entire length of the Connecticut River in one summer

*Mary has backpacked more than 22,000 miles

She has written about this in her first book, Meeting Mary Badass: Healing Dissociation Through Adventuring.

At her program at RPL, Mary’s slide presentation and discussion will include her adventures in Vermont and further afield. Questions from the audience are welcome on any of these topics.  Books will be for sale and Mary will sign your copy!
